DENTAL STERILIZATION TECHNICIAN / ENTRY-LEVEL DENTAL ASSISTANT

We are searching for an enthusiastic Sterilization Tech to join our endodontic practice in our Baton Rouge office. This position will also include on-the-job dental assistant training and the opportunity for career advancement into that role.

Part-time position

Mon, Tues, Wed

7:30 am - 5:00 pm

$18 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Clean instruments and equipment to eliminate contaminants.

Inspect instruments for damage and wear to ensure they are functional.

Package instruments to maintain sterility.

Operate sterilization equipment, making instruments safe for use.

Maintain records of sterilization processes, inventory, and instrument tracking.

Follow strict protocols and infection control procedures to maintain the highest standards of sterility for patient safety.

Set up, break down, clean, and re-set up patient rooms.

Assist doctors with patient evaluations, including taking radiographs and CT scans.

Participate in further dental assistant training while on the job.

Requirements

Interested and curious about dentistry

Ability to learn and advance in the field

Possess good computer skills

Have excellent communication and people skills

Be well-organized and reliable

Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Dental assistant school graduate preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
