Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life - one surgery at a time.


Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program Required. High School Graduate / GED

and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. Bay Area is our full-service acute care hospital and offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, bariatric, GYN and robotic surgery. The Women's Center at Bay Area, with its NICU Unit, is also the home of our graduate medical education program. Northshore Emergency Center is a full-service 24-7 emergency department in Portland that offers outpatient laboratory, imaging and occupational services. Radiation Oncology offers advanced technology for treating cancer with the latest and most specific radiation therapies available. Our programs focus on the needs of individual patients, while employing the

latest techniques and research of 21st-century medicine.
