The State of New Hampshire, Police Standards & Training Council, Bureau of Standards has a part-time vacancy for 13-1190 Misc Bus Ops Specs-4.





Summary:





Oversees the grant funded statewide law enforcement accreditation program within the Bureau of Standards. Reports to the NH Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission and the PSTC Accreditation Program Manager.





YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS

: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.







MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in public administration, project management, business administration or related field.


License/Certification:

Valid driver's license


Other Requirements:

Must pass a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check


Trainee Option:

Candidates with an equivalent combination of 4+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in 'trainee status' for this position.

Responsibilities:

Researches, develops and drafts program policy to comply with state and federal law as it relates to the statewide accreditation program for law enforcement agencies in consultation with the Commission and PSTC.



Provides outreach and support to agencies enrolled in the statewide accreditation program through orientation programs, on-site training and support, or networking meetings.



Provides PowerDMS programmatic support to enrolled agencies by responding to and facilitation of assistance to agencies in need of support.



Provides information and interpretation to other agencies and the public regarding statewide accreditation for law enforcement agencies program planning, policy and procedure.



Makes formal presentations to promote and explain the statewide accreditation program for law enforcement agencies to stakeholders.



Consults with Federal, State, County, and Local officials as a resource to enhance program goals, develop initiatives and promote the program services.



Evaluates the statewide accreditation program to determine that established standards are being satisfied and goals are achieved. Attends all Commission meetings and provides monthly reports to the Commission.



Conducts annual compliance reviews of enrolled agencies to ensure accreditation standards are being followed. Provides any necessary reporting to the Commission and PSTC.



Promotes the statewide law enforcement accreditation program through marketing and outreach programs and presentations.



Oversees accreditation assessors and assures assessment program coordination with the Commission and PSTC.
