We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
Assist licensed nurses with patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other transfer devices.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques to promote safety and comfort.
Administer medications as directed by nursing staff in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. .
Assist with medical procedures including phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
Support patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized behavioral health interventions by applying compassionate caregiving techniques.
Participate in training related to infection control, senior care practices, geriatrics, hospice care, and other specialty areas to enhance your skills continuously.
Requirements
Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification (STNA) or equivalent licensure required.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
Experience with patient mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts and familiarity with infection control protocols including basic life support (BLS).
Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages--including pediatrics--and those with complex needs such as dementia or behavioral health conditions.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide excellent patient service while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Flexibility to work in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or post-acute care environments.
