THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Starter & Alternator Rebuild Technician to join our growing operations at our Deridder, Louisiana location.

YOU

The person in this role will be responsible for rebuilding starters and alternators of all types in the NAPA Deridder shop.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Test, diagnose and troubleshoot starters and alternators
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics, and other specifications to determine the repair method on failed components
• Replace or restore failed components as needed
• Reassemble components expertly
• Perform quality inspections on all work performed prior to components leaving the department
• Ensure Safety JSA\'s are filled out properly
• Make sure company safety rules and regulations are being followed
• Manage external purchases and services processing purchase orders and utilizing accurate costing methods

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: Minimum of 5 years relevant mechanical experience
• REQUIRED: Strong mechanical and technical skills
• REQUIRED: Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• REQUIRED: Ability to work in a team environment
