Job Description

Material Handler needed for a great company in Romulus, MI! You will be responsible for operating a standup forklift and other equipment to move materials and products within the facility. This role is essential for ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and storage operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Hours: 5:00AM-1:30PM Thursday-Monday

or

5:00AM-1:30PM Saturday-Wednesday

Responsibilities

Operate standup and sit down forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and containers. Transport materials to designated areas within the facility (staging area, production line, etc.) Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members in shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely delivery of goods. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including

standup

forklift Ability to lift 50 lbs. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for efficient inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards in all operations. Must possess valid forklift certification or be able to obtain certification upon hire
