About the Role

Artis Care Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Staffing Coordinator

to join our team. This vital role ensures proper nursing staff coverage to meet the needs of our residents while supporting smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and comfortable working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact list of all nursing department employees. Track and report daily attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism to the DON. Coordinate modified work duty schedules in collaboration with HR and the DON. Assist staff with scheduling-related inquiries and forms. Create, post, and maintain monthly nursing schedules with appropriate coverage. Address and resolve staffing and scheduling concerns in a timely manner. Provide ID badges, time cards, and schedules to new hires before orientation. Collaborate with nursing supervisors to meet staffing needs and resolve challenges. Keep accurate records of staff certifications and licenses while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Serve as backup for the Unit Secretary when needed. Adjust staffing levels based on census changes to minimize overtime. Prepare payroll for the nursing department and manage agency staffing.

Requirements

SBV experience preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a nursing facility Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
