If you are a new grad or a seasoned therapist, we offer a slower pace of patient care and the ability to treat patients as you should. For new grads, we work with you to develop a schedule and teach you the ins/outs of outpatient orthopedics. For those looking to gain more insight into the business side of private practice, we are more than happy to teach you along the way.
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate
Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
to join our dedicated team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives by helping them recover, regain mobility, and improve their overall quality of life. As an Outpatient PTA, you will work with a diverse patient population, from adolescents to seniors, focusing on various musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, including sports injuries, spine/back/neck/shoulder pain, and a large post-operative rehabilitation population.
Responsibilities
Work with therapist to Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, stretching maneuvers, and utilize various physical therapy techniques and equipment to manage pain, increase mobility, and facilitate healing.
Educate patients and their families about their treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention and long-term health and wellness.
Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, adhering to regulatory and licensing requirements.
Ensure patient safety during all therapy sessions and maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy through continuous learning and professional development.

We would prefer some orthopedic experience, whether that be working or with a strong clinical affiliation.Our goal is to fill a full-time position based.
Qualifications:
Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited program.
Current and valid State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in Florida.
Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, neuroscience, and other relevant disciplines.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and diagnostic skills.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients, motivate them, and communicate effectively with colleagues, doctors, and family members.
Compassion and empathy for patients, who may be experiencing pain and physical limitations.
Dexterity and physical stamina to perform hands-on therapy and assist patients with exercises and movement.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development to stay current with evolving practices and regulations.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting (for new grads that may have been done through clinical rotations)
Experience with EMR documentation (We currently use Clinicient / WebPT ).
