Staff Hardware Engineer

Rochester, NY - US (Hybrid)

The Role:

D3 is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer with a strong electronics design and development background. They will work as part of a team that supports the design, development, test, and integration of complex, embedded hardware/software systems. A Staff Hardware Engineer is a master expert in electronics design and development. They develop solutions to highly complex problems and are seen as a technical leader and mentor in the company.

The Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of circuit board design for mix signal applications like power design along with highspeed interface design for SoC and high-performance FPGAs.
• Play a key role in all phases of the product development cycle which includes requirement/definition, design and development, verification (such as unit tests) and traceability matrix, and design transfer to production (DFM/DFT).
• Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles in both analog and digital domains with the ability to leverage this understanding to quickly isolate issues and faults.
• Conduct and oversee board designs, design reviews, testing, and debugging
• Provide technical direction and leadership in a non-supervisory capacity for complex engineering projects

The Right Person Will Have:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering discipline along with 12+ years of directly related experience and/or equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise.
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering Preferred.
• Experience with professional PCB Design Tools (OrCAD, Altium, Mentor Graphics)
• Experience with troubleshooting boards and performing board reworks
• Experience with block diagram architecture design
• Experience with writing design and system requirments for a design
