Duties
Develop comprehensive training curricula tailored to various clinical specialties, including critical care, nursing home care, hospital settings, and pediatric care.
Coordinate and facilitate engaging educational sessions, workshops, and seminars for nursing staff and healthcare providers.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards to ensure training accuracy.
Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements through ongoing staff education initiatives.
Collaborate with department leaders to identify learning needs and create targeted development plans that support career advancement.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics; continuously refine programs for maximum impact.
Manage medical records related to training activities while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or acute care units; experience in nursing homes or hospital settings is highly desirable.
Strong background in adult education, teaching hospital environments, or home care training programs.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care practices across diverse clinical areas including pediatrics and adult care.
Familiarity with medical documentation processes and medical records management.
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging training content focused on patient safety, compliance standards, and clinical best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all training activities.
