Position: Staff Accountant

Compliance: Willing to submit to a background check and a drug screening

Work Environment: Full-time Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

Placement Type: 6-Month Contract-To-Hire

Location : Onsite, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of Transactional Accounting experience
  • 2+ General Ledger Posting and Journal Entries
  • MS Excel experience (basic excel functions)/MS Suite
Description:

Our company process is supported by the ERP software M1, which is an ECI produce. This role will include all Accounts Payable functions from invoicing to payment, expense report audit, credit card reconciling and processing. General Ledger accounting will include various month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities from GL accounting, bank and GL reconciliations, accruals and other ad hoc activities. Duties includes filing and remitting taxes, licenses and other financial obligations.

Accounts Payable
  • Review and processes all vendor invoice entries, both Invoice and Credit Memos
  • Process weekly payments checks, EFT and Wires
  • Reconcile and review credit card expenditures before payment
  • Maintain recurring payments to ensure proper payment with regard to both amounts paid and amount due in accordance with established contract terms
  • Maintain vendor setup files
  • Complete vendor credit applications and provide resale permits
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and inquiries.
  • Responsible for 1099 tracking and year end reporting
  • Review employee expense reports
  • Update, maintain and develop where necessary, accounts payable policies and procedures
General Ledger
  • Prepare month-end accounting journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Perform various month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities from GL accounting, reconciliations, accruals and other ad hoc activities
  • Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct
  • Reconcile accounts with general ledger
  • Gather supporting documentation and perform recordkeeping.
  • Perform other duties as time permits or as needed.
Account Receivable
  • Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into system
  • Update client accounts based on payment or contract, remit to information
Taxes and Licenses
  • File and remit various taxes and licenses

Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
