Job Description


Seeking a Staff Accountant for a real estate management company in the DTC area! This is an exciting opportunity to work for a household name in the corporate housing space, has a DEI-focused culture, offers Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401k with a match, PTO, a great annual bonus plan, and much more!

salary: $55,000 - $69,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Daily and monthly cash procedures
  • Daily sales and use tax reports
  • Assist in the monthly closing process
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare reports (financial, sales, vendor, accounting and others) as requested by management or markets
  • Provide support during annual audit, 401k audit, & other tax audits as they arise
  • Assisting in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties
  • Provide support on various accounting and finance related projects
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Controller
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; degree or certificate in accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
  • strong MS Excel skills on both the logic side (pivot tables, lookups, macros, formulas) and formatting side
  • Advanced skills in SQL and reporting software; general familiarity with accounting software and programs
  • strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detailed and organized
  • Adaptable and hard working. Effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior real estate or hospitality sector experience a plus
