Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant & AR Administrator to join our finance team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, financial management, and proficiency in various accounting software. Responsibilities



Invoice Management - work with PMs & PAs in a timely manner to generate and distribute customer invoices. Accurately and promptly, ensuring all necessary details are included to facilitate timely payments. Payment Processing - Track and process incoming payments, including checks and electronic transfers ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting software. Customer Reconciliation - Regular review or customer accounts related to their job ensuring all payments are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved. This includes reconciling necessary bank accounts with cash receipts. Working with PMs & PAs on maintaining strong relationships with clients by addressing inquiries regarding invoices, account status and follow up on overdue payments. Work with PMs & PAs to make sure job analysis are correct and up to date. Help them reconcile any discrepancies. Assisting with timely month end closing processes. Collaborate with the Controller efficiently, inspecting the company's books and ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant with GAPP regulations. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries. Conduct audits as necessary to maintain integrity in financial operations. Other related duties as assigned and backup for other finance team players

Requirements



Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but experience will be strongly considered. Ability to work independently and with a team environment. Proficiency in accounting software: Sage or ability to learn quickly. Strong understanding of financial concepts. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Ability to perform account analysis and manage journal entries accurately. Pay: $59,026.69 - $78,085.90 per year
