As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You\'ll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

The Survivability Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing survivability architecture and performing analysis of multi-domain systems to support mission execution concepts and derive system performance requirements.

The Survivability Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing survivability architectures within multiple product families including infrared (IR), electro-optical (EO), and radio frequency (RF) capabilities.

The successful candidate will ensure requirements are effectively integrated into the system through purposeful survivability architecture, design, development, and configuration. The Survivability Engineer will employ strong technical, analytical, and creative skills to visualize, evaluate, and disseminate system and survivability engineering principles.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor\'s of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with current and emerging technical survivability techniques for multiple domains, including mission-modeling or threat-modeling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, STK, Excel, or other computational tools to predict system performance.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
  • Experience and understanding of systems engineering principles and practices to properly trade requirements between the platform and survivability sub-systems
  • Willingness to work on a small team performing complex engineering design evaluations for a diverse mission set across multiple domains.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Preferred:
  • Masters degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense development environments.
  • Experience with early phases of the program development lifecycle.
  • Strong technical communication skills with ability to present data and explain results to subcontractors, management, and customers.
  • Familiarity with surveillance and target tracking radar systems and functionality, electronic counter measure and ECCM techniques, and integrated defense systems.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Technical Performance Measures (response time, RF performance objectives, simultaneous engagements).

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
