Your Role at Baxter

Develop, implement, and execute Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) programs where the complexity requires technical specialization. Responsible for site compliance with all Federal, State and local environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulations.

What you\'ll be doing

Assist with the administration and implementation of EHS&S policies and programs.

Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company requirements; follows emerging EHS regulations and issues.

Management of site pollution prevention and waste minimization activities.

Management of facility Emergency Response and Action Planning.

Membership on site Emergency Response Team for hazardous materials spills.

Assist in negotiation and development of EHS service contracts.

Participate in projects associated with drinking water and wastewater treatment systems.

Perform and/or assist in Industrial Hygiene monitoring.

Proactively identify potential EHS hazards through conducting risk assessments and inspections, driving timely corrective and preventative action plans.

Participate in facility related management system audits and assessments.

Handle interactions with regulatory agencies.

Provide specialized training to Baxter employees and contractors.

Prepare and/or assist with composing Agency (i.e. EPA) and Corporate reports.

What you\'ll bring

B.S. Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field required

Minimum of 5 years related experience

Experience with Environmental permitting and program management (Hazardous Waste, Air permitting, Stormwater, Wastewater, Drinking Water, etc.).

Experience with Safety programs (Confined Spaces, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, Powered Industrial trucks, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write technical reports and professional correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or company employees.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make key decisions.

Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to collect and analyze data and information to determine process improvement and potential root cause in problem solving.

Ability to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data.

Ability to clearly articulate information during regulatory inspections.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000 - $156,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a long-term incentive bonus.
