We need you to apply these skills within our Colorado region to support the non-controlled branded and unbranded sales through profitable volume attainment, strong customer relationships and contract negotiations, while exemplifying Suncor\xe2\x80\x99s core values.

In this role, you will be accountable for profitably growing the business utilizing a disciplined and organized sales approach, while managing current volume commitments, various legal contracts, standardized processes, allocations, credit terms and customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or marketing
  • 5-10 years of experience in light oil sales and distribution
  • Strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Extensive collaboration and communication skills
  • Understanding of cause/effect relationships and how they contribute to marketing opportunities
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage existing branded and unbranded portfolios to deliver consistent sales while maximizing margins and maintaining superb customer relationships; grow the portfolio using a disciplined and organized sales approach incorporating various sales tactics while negotiating contracts
  • Oversee Suncor\xe2\x80\x99s licensee agreement requirements for Shell and ExxonMobil brands, act as the lead sales and marketing liaison between Suncor and customers
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure contract terms and financial information accurately support and complement one another
  • Plays an integral role in Refinery integration, since his/her sales volume is the balancing factor in Refinery optimization
  • Develop and manage marketing and promotional campaigns leveraging synergies and best practice sharing with the controlled/non-controlled branded network
  • Accountable for converting sites to brand(s) by using Suncor incentive plans; implement and execute competitive store level branding and re-branding program offers by developing and managing strategies for pricing, channel mix and market development
  • Solicit sales, negotiate agreements, and closely moderates complex sales transactions within competitive and/or profitability guidelines
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of your home office
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the high-potential for extended on-call work hours based on business needs
  • Offer flexible working arrangements as a result of the 24/7 nature of our industry
  • Considerable local travel, primarily via road in Colorado and Wyoming (approximately 60%); Fleet vehicle will be provided
  • After hours meetings, dinners and customer functions
  • Multi-task while under time sensitive deadlines and unexpected business needs
  • High sense of urgency to resolve customer issues, and drive sales growth
  • Comfortable conducting tough discussions regarding the challenging, and ever-changing business environment
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
  • $115,000 - $127,000 annual salary and an annual incentive program
