Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage multiple design projects from initiation through to final artwork delivery. This includes coordinating and maintaining detailed project timelines using project management systems to ensure all milestones and deadlines are consistently met. The role requires close collaboration with Category Strategy Managers, external Design Agencies, and key internal stakeholders within Sprouts Brand to ensure design output aligns with brand guidelines and strategic objectives. This role will serve as a central point of communication, facilitating a clear and timely information flow between teams, resolving project-related issues, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing demands are critical for driving projects to successful completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
Essential Functions:
Own and manage a portfolio of brands or categories within Sprouts Brand, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for design and creative packaging project management
Manage multiple end-to-end design project timelines from start to artwork completion using project management systems
Develop comprehensive creative briefs that outline packaging design direction, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market positioning to drive impactful visual communication
Coordinate with designated design and regulatory agencies to ensure design alignment with project objectives.
Collaborate with the brand team to manage and maintain Sprout Brand assets across categories and departments, ensuring consistent and cohesive brand execution
Identify and implement efficiencies in design operations, vendor management, or asset governance
Forge strategic alliances with cross-functional teams within Sprouts Farmers Market (Strategy, Merch, Marketing, and other key internal departments) to ensure continued alignment
Work closely with Category Strategy Managers and Marketing teams to develop and execute monthly campaigns, in-store events, and digital marketing initiatives
Conduct retail store visits and market audits to evaluate store execution and overall brand effectiveness
Maintain and plan product brand trademark rights and product names for use in each class
Lead and contribute to special projects aligned with brand portfolio priorities
Mentor junior team members and/or guide cross-functional partners in best practices for design workflow and brand alignment
Process and Track Design-related invoices
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements:
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Merchandising, Communications or related field with five (5) years of experience
Preferred brand experience at retailer or in consumer package goods industry
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Understanding of how to represent a consumer brand effectively across a variety of communication channels
Effective writing style that's fresh, consistent, and customer-friendly; creative approach to content development
Maintain a positive and flexible approach while adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Demonstrate a high degree of organization and self-motivation
Detail-minded and results-oriented
Thorough understanding Microsoft Office suite and Excel
