BBT Fitness is currently seeking a dynamic Sports Performance Coach to join our team. This role will involve training a diverse group of athletes, including professionals, collegiate players, and youth athletes. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a background as former athletes or possess a deep passion for teaching and mentoring.
As a Sports Performance Coach, you will play a pivotal role in guiding athletes toward their full potential. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing effective training programs tailored to each athlete's specific needs and goals. Drawing from your own experiences as an athlete, you will be expected to demonstrate various skills and techniques to students, effectively showcasing your expertise.
Position Summary:
The Head Sports Performance Coach is responsible for directing and developing a high level of strength and conditioning services for athletes.
This position will have oversight of the development of sport-specific strength training and conditioning programs that are scientifically based, involve periodic/cycled regimen of exercises and drills to optimize strength, power, flexibility, mobility, agility, speed, and/or work capacity-designed to enhance sports performance and decrease the incidence of non-contact injuries.
The Sports performance Coach demonstrates & implements safe, effective, and proven exercise techniques at each training session and delivers programs in an organized manner using the field's best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Effectively design and safely implement strength and conditioning programs for multiple sports with differing physiological needs and or concerns.
Teach weightlifting and conditioning techniques as well as safety and maintenance of the weight room
Develop and maintain a scientifically-backed training philosophy, and lead weight room sessions and conditioning drills for assigned intercollegiate teams.
Perform specific duties for Head Coaches if needed in his/her absence.
Perform other duties as required.
Program specifics:BBT Sports performance program features a HIIT area for speed & agility, turf area, and state-of-the-art equipment. We focus on athletic training for athletes ages 8-18, Collegiate, and professional athletes. The Sports Performance coach is a critical role in the success of BBT Fitness
He/she will focus on athletic development and sports-specific training for athletes 8-18+ collegiate and professional with varying sports backgrounds and abilities.With day-to-day interaction with parents, coaches, and athletes to position the BBT culture and training philosophy.
We are looking for someone with a positive, likable, high-energy attitude.He/she will conduct sports-specific instruction, lessons, drills, etc to achieve member goals and/or team goals.
Requirements
College, Minor League, or Pro playing experience (candidates with a U.S. Military and athletic background are also considered!)
Access to a location for training
Knowledge of strength and conditioning exercise technique, periodization, exercise safety.
Ability to organize and teach groups ranging from 2 to 50 student-athletes at one time.
NSCA - C.S.C.S (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) preferred not required OR CSCCa - SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) preferred not required
CPR/First Aid Certified. Preferred formal education, professional skills, and work experience- preferred not required
