We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sports Lab Technician to join our dynamic team.

DexaFit Scottsdale is a new health and wellness center dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness and wellness goals through advanced body composition analysis and metabolic testing. We use DXA scanning technology to provide accurate body composition assessments, as well as Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), VO2 max metabolic tests and 3D Movement assessments to offer personalized insights and guidance to our clients. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sports Lab Technician to join DexaFit Scottsdale.

As a Sports Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting all of our tests for our clients. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Your expertise in the fields of fitness, health, and wellness will play a crucial role in interpreting the test results and providing valuable information and recommendations to our clients to support their fitness journey.

Responsibilities

Operating the DXA scanner to accurately assess clients' body composition, including fat mass, lean mass, and bone density. Conducting Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) tests to determine clients' caloric needs at rest. Performing VO2 max metabolic tests to evaluate clients' aerobic fitness and cardiovascular capacity. Performing 3D Movement scans to evaluate range of motion and compensations Analyzing test results and interpreting data to understand clients' individualized metabolic and body composition profiles. Providing clear and actionable feedback to clients, offering insights on their health, fitness, and wellness goals. Staying up to date with advancements in body composition assessment, metabolic testing, and related fields to continually improve the quality of service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or student in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition, or related fields is strongly preferred. Previous experience in conducting body composition assessments and metabolic testing is a plus. Strong passion for fitness, health, and wellness, with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals. Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex test results and provide guidance to clients. Ability to work with diverse individuals and demonstrate empathy and understanding. Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and analyzing data. Social media skills a plus!

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 hours per week

Opportunities for increased compensation are available when you have received all necessary certifications and are able to perform all of DexaFit's testing services independently. If you already have some of the required certifications, we'll start you at a higher rate. Otherwise, we pay for required classes and tests.

Friday & Saturday: 8:00am to 4:00pm Sunday: 7:30am to 1:30pm Work Location: In person
