Speech Language Pathology Assistant (slpa)

Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and communication disorders in patients
- Follow an individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills in patients
- Monitor and track patient progress
- Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and provide strategies for improvement
- Keep detailed records of patient progress, and treatment plans

Requirements:
- Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and speech therapy techniques
- Experience working with patients in acute care settings is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
