CARD LOCATION :ODENTON. $2500 Sign-On Bonus

The Speech Language Pathologist IV will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e. speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders: administering department and program functions; supervising speech language pathologists I, II, and III: maintaining documentation relative to services offered: and participating in intra and interdisciplinary training programs. Administrative supervisory responsibilities include ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, performance appraisals, goals setting, progressive discipline, work/leave schedules and day-to-day workplace interventions and problem resolution. This person is also responsible for at least one specific clinical/research/administrative component within the department.

• Current CPR certification.
• Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
• Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.

EDUCATION:

• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, with related clinical requirements.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
• Eligible for Maryland State Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years licensed clinical experience required (including CFY). Emphasis on pediatric communication disorders preferred.
• Experience in administration, supervision, or management preferred.
