The King's Daughters' School

is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to create a positive, goal-oriented learning environment for students with developmental disabilities.

Position Highlights

Work alongside a classroom assistant in a supportive team environment

No IEP writing required

- dedicated staff handles all IEP documentation Focus on what you do best: teaching and connecting with students 1:4 Staff/student ratio Monday-Friday schedule (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

------------------------

Create a warm, inviting classroom that promotes student success Develop and implement individualized goals using formal and informal assessments Collect student progress data and adjust instruction accordingly Mentor classroom assistants and model best practices Manage classroom behavior using evidence-based techniques

Requirements

----------------

TN Teaching License with SPED endorsement Must pass background checks and drug screen Ability to lift 40 lbs., kneel/bend for extended periods, and respond quickly in emergencies. TB skin test required upon hire
