JOB SUMMARY
The Servicce Desk Support Specialist at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for providing user support in the use of device hardware and software which includes coordinating complex issue resolution, facilitating timely installations, analyzing system needs, engaging in project management, and remaining up-to-date on knowledge of technology advancements. This role utilizes organizational and communication skills to identify opportunities for improvement related to system and vendor management, and to promote ongoing compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to enable efficient and effective support for all users.
| JOB FUNCTIONS | | - | Customer Service:
Provides technical assistance to NMHS employees/Departments regarding the use and capabilities of end user device software, hardware and communication equipment.
Travels to NMHS locations as required/requested.
Implementation:
Responsible for timely and accurate installation of purchased end user device systems, software and communication equipment.
Monitors, evaluates and makes recommendations concerning the operational effectiveness of various end user systems and communication equipment.
System Analysis:
Assists management in administering "off-the-shelf" software.
Assists in the installation of workstation hardware/equipment and communication equipment.
Project Management:
Assists in planning and executing projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, etc.
Communication:
Communicates effectively and efficiently with team members, end users, and other NMHS staff members.
Education:
Stays abreast of changes in technology that affect end user devices, systems, software and communication equipment/systems.
Regulatory Compliance:
Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.
