The Department of Revenue\'s (DOR) Property Tax Division has a unique opportunity for a Property and Acquisition Specialist 5 (PAS-5) within its Exemptions & Deferrals Program. As a part of the team, you will provide technical expertise and advice for property tax deferrals, senior citizen/disabled person exemptions, and property tax assistance program for widows or widowers of qualified veterans.
Initial candidate screening will begin as early as April 25, 2023. The hiring authority may make a hiring decision at any time thereafter, so it is in your best interest to apply as soon as possible.
This non-permanent appointment is schedule to last until 1/31/2024.

Duties
As the Specialist & Lead Worker (PAS-5), your primary duty is to provide technical expertise in the statewide administration of the deferral program and oversight of the senior/disabled person exemption program. In addition, this position acts as an advisor to the Property Tax Division and provides training, consultation, and presentations to county assessors and other stakeholders while leading a small but effective team.
