Job Description


Participate in the Pre-health Summer program from June 5th - July 21st. The purpose of Pre-health Summer Program is to increase the diversity of the healthcare workforce and improve minority employment opportunities by targeting economically and educationally disadvantaged high school students in Salt Lake County, Utah. The goal of the program is to introduce and expose students to a variety of allied health and health occupations, educational programs, and careers through a robust and transformative academic curriculum.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

| 1. Participate in the Pre-health Summer program from June 5th - July 21st

2. Attend the program from 10am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday.

3. Attend the program orientation on program Graduation Ceremony

4. Complete all program paperwork.

5. Be punctual to class, activities, and program field trips.

6. Actively participate in program activities.

7. Complete the program satisfaction evaluation at the end of the program.

8. Respect the programs staff, student peers, guest speakers and other program participants.

9. Attend all program field trips.

10. Reliable transportation - SLCC provides a free public transit pass.

1. Rising High School Junior or Senior.

2. Interested in pursuing a degree or certificate in the medical or health field.

1. Rising High School Junior or Senior.

2. Interested in pursuing a degree or certificate in the medical or health field.

3. Interested in learning about the different health and medical programs available.

4. Dedicated to improving knowledge in core areas of math, science, and English.

5. Committed to improving future test scores.

6. Wants to attend college.

1. Incoming High School Junior or Senior.
2. Punctual.
3. Demonstrate interest in the program material.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
