Job Overview

The Special Services Division Leader is responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple regions. This role leads all aspects of division performance, including financial management, strategic planning, and talent development, to ensure consistent execution and measurable results. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, a proven ability to scale operations, and a track record of leading teams that deliver sustained growth and customer value. This is a critical leadership position that directly influences the division's financial success and alignment with Rex Moore's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:



Develop and execute a division-wide strategy that achieves 10-20% annual revenue growth. Identify, evaluate, and establish new regional markets for Special Services. Drive business development initiatives, cultivating strategic partnerships and expanding customer relationships. Manage and oversee a $30M+ operating budget, ensuring profitability and cost controls. Monitor financial performance, project margins, and resource allocation across all regions. Implement best practices in forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop Special Services Managers across all regions. Build leadership capacity to support both current and future regional expansion. Foster collaboration with other business lines and support departments (DFP, Supply Chain, IT, Accounting, HR, Safety, etc.). Champion Rex Moore's culture of safety, authenticity, and customer service. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery. Oversee execution of complex projects while ensuring customer satisfaction. Establish and enforce quality, safety, and compliance standards across all regions. Align divisional objectives with Rex Moore's corporate mission, vision, and values. Full P&L responsibilities for the Special Services Division including WIP cost to complete projections Maintain and develop service assigned accounts Responsible for continuous improvement of the department by ensuring feedback loop communication and implementation of practical problem-solving techniques Manage workforce development, such as talent/skills management, training needs Review, approve, reject and revise project budgets, proposals, scope of work and contractual language that include Special Services department scope of work

Compensation:



Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill level.


Work environment:




Work is performed in an office environment. This position may be required to travel to other office locations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business leadership (preferably construction service-related fields). Technical background in electrical construction, or similar industry Proven success managing multi-region operations with a $30M+ budget. Customer focused with a background in sales and business development is a must Demonstrated ability to achieve sustained growth targets. Strong financial acumen, with experience in P&L responsibility and strategic planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to foster a high-performance, values-driven culture. Strong project and budget management skills General understanding of systems in a building and how they differ from various facilities Excellent written/oral communication with strong influencing and consensus-building skills Strong analytical excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build, manage and influence teams Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques Strong Organizational, Math, Communication and Networking skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management or related field and/or 10-plus years' Construction experience with equivalent management experience Computer based estimating program knowledge (Accubid, Conest, McComick, etc.) preferredc



Physical Requirements:




Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information. Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information. Required to sit at a desk work station for long and short periods of time. Push, pull, lift and carry at least 10 pounds. Occasionally required to walk and stand. Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read and interpret contract information and view information on a computer monitor. Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach. * May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
