Overview
Packager / Labeler / Wrapper Overview Package stock and specials entry doors on the cell table, attach labels to doors and move to pallet or rack for wrapping.
Responsibilities
Sets up and operates the production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed
Multitasker with good organizational skills for managing stock and/or specials
Maintain safe and clean work environment Knowledge / Skill / Abilities
Knowledge of Pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity
Must work at a fast pace where it is physically demanding
Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours
Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement
Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written Qualifications
High school diploma or its equivalent, preferred but not required
0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
Keep the palletizer area stocked with empty pallets to permit non-stop operation of the palletizer.
Build pallets using Pneumatic staple guns and cardboard wrap.
Palletize prefinished door onto correct pallet according to store number, ensuring door(s) are properly secured to pallet
Report any product/packaging issues.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Palletize, brace, and wrap with stretch film using automated equipment.
Ability to read and follow instructions per order specifications.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Knowledge of palletizing process to ensure that orders are correct based on store number and customer demand o Knowledge of door types.
Knowledge of Pneumatic tools
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience is preferred
Ability to stand and work for 8-10 hours per day.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Ability to organize and maintain detailed records.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.
Read tape measure to 1/32" inch.
Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
