while helping the client regulate behavior, emotions, and daily routines. This also may include aiding the family on outings with the client.
Responsibilities:
Provide continuous supervision and support in a calm, structured manner
Assist with daily routines, transitions, and activities
Implement behavior support strategies consistently and appropriately
De-escalate challenging behaviors using approved techniques
Encourage positive behaviors, communication, and coping skills
Maintain a safe environment at all times
Communicate observations and concerns with family or care team
Follow established care plans and behavioral guidelines
Requirements:
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is required
Experience with ADHD, ASD, ODD, and or IED strongly preferred
Ability to remain calm, patient, and firm during behavioral challenges
Strong communication and observational skills
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Ability to pass a background check
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
RBT, DSP, CNA, or similar background
Experience with behavior intervention or crisis prevention techniques
Knowledge of trauma-informed care
