Special Education Teacher

What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:


Lead our Education Services Program by planning, implementing, and evaluating educational offerings. Collaborate with the Educational Service Director to assess program needs and goals. Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. Ensure compliance with all County, State, and Federal regulations. Train and supervise staff to deliver high-quality educational services. Promote student participation in their own program planning. Maintain program quality, including financial management, safety, and facility standards.

What We're Looking For

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (required).

Certification:

Valid Special Education teaching certification (required).

Experience:

Previous work in educational or community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Skills:

+ Strong communication and leadership abilities.
+ Expertise in IEP development and implementation.
+ Knowledge of behavior management, ISPs, and normalization principles.
