Job Title: Special Education Teacher

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of students with diverse learning needs. You will design and implement tailored educational programs that cater to individual learning styles, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.

What you'll do

Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that align with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to support student development Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed to enhance communication skills Integrate learning technology into lessons to engage students and facilitate learning Support early intervention strategies for students with developmental disabilities Foster literacy education through innovative teaching methods in reading and writing

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of childhood development principles Experience working with children, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities

Preferred qualifications

Background in curriculum development and lesson planning Experience in special education settings, including private schools or Montessori environments Knowledge of behavioral management techniques and early childhood education practices Familiarity with teaching physical education adapted for special needs

Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 per hour
