Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students requiring special education services. Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs in various educational settings
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under the guidance of the special education teacher
- Support students with academic tasks, social skills development, and behavior management
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement specialized instructional strategies
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with the special education team

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably those with special needs
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Certification or coursework in Childhood Development and Special education is preferred but not required
