Job Description

This assignment is for an intensive program supporting preschool-aged children with skill building in areas such as preschool readiness, gross and fine motor, communication, social, behavior, activities of daily living (including toileting), using the methodologies of applied behavior analysis. On-the-job training is provided.Responsibilities include: Prepare instructional material and learning activities in the assigned classroom.Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.This may include: Implementation of individualized and small group instruction and discussionsAccommodating and modifying materials to match students needs as prescribed by the teacher.Assist with the collection of student data.Consult with teachers on students progress and on specific strategies and methodologies to be used.Supervise unstructured time such as recess and/or lunch duty, unless directed otherwise.Assist the teacher in clean-up.Assists with any other tasks that students are not able to perform for themselvesDepending on the assignment, provide assistance in escorting children to and from vehicles during drop-off or pick-up.Assist students in using technology.Assist substitutes in following lesson plans when the classroom teacher is absentAbility to lift 30lbs. independentlyWillingness to participate in toileting activities is required.Provide other related duties that the Preschool Director, Special Education Director, and/or teacher may assign
