Our team of dedicated professionals takes the administrative burden off school districts so that district officials and teachers can focus on what they do best - helping children reach their fullest potential. Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a part-time Special Education Homebound Teacher to work in the Hollidaysburg Area.

What are the duties and responsibilities?
Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided in the home setting.
Maintain a positive and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
Deliver lessons in accordance with the established curriculum.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Foster student engagement and participation in activities.
Encourage a positive and respectful atmosphere for effective learning.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and administrators.
Adhere to school and district policies and procedures.
Implement emergency procedures when necessary.
Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Uphold high standards of behavior and ethics.
What are the required qualifications?
An active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education, candidates with Special Education K-12 is preferred.
Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
