Role Summary
You will coordinate the special education program, ensure compliance with federal/state special education mandates, manage IEPs and student services, support staff training and work closely with teachers, administrators and families to ensure students with special needs receive high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee special education program operations
Lead IEP development and review process
Ensure timelines and regulatory compliance (IDEA/BIE/State)
Provide training and support to staff in special education services
Maintain accurate records and collaborate with stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education Administration or related field
Minimum 3 years' experience working in special education
Strong understanding of IEPs, Child Find, evaluation and compliance processes
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership abilities
Willingness to work on-site at Pine Ridge School
Preferred
Master's degree or educational leadership credential
Experience in rural, tribal or reservation-based school settings
