Job Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to hospitality.

Must have high-volume experience of $5 million in sales per year and managerial experience of at least 5+ years.



Duties



Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory control and food management. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to health regulations and best practices in food handling. Manage banquet preparations and coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during events. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience. Assist in ordering supplies and managing inventory to minimize waste while ensuring quality ingredients are always available. Support bartending operations as needed, contributing to beverage menu planning and service.

Qualifications



Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a sous chef or similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Experience in menu planning and banquet management is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory control processes to ensure efficient kitchen operations. A passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
