Sonographer

for a full-time contract in

Garden City, Kansas

.

This role is perfect for the tech who takes pride in precision imaging, thrives in a team setting, and enjoys the satisfaction of getting that perfect scan on the first try. You'll work across various imaging specialties in a collaborative and patient-centered department where every image tells a story -- and yours could help save a life.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across multiple modalities including

Abdomen, Pelvis, OB, Head, Extremity, Retroperitoneal, Small Parts, and Vascular

. Provide exceptional patient care with a compassionate and professional approach. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring consistent image quality and accuracy. Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for all exams. Review and evaluate images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic value. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and radiologists to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate reporting. Establish IV lines and administer contrast when necessary. Maintain department standards and adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly when needed.

Qualifications

Certification:

ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

required.

BLS (Basic Life Support)

certification required.

Experience:

Minimum

1 year of recent Sonography experience

required. Must be comfortable performing a wide range of scans, including vascular and small parts. Ability to start IVs and administer contrast safely and confidently.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

Knowledge and Skills

Expertise in abdominal, obstetric, and vascular ultrasound imaging. Strong understanding of ultrasound physics and anatomy. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
