Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical systems, construction, and roofing, with a focus on solar energy installations. This role involves working on commercial solar projects, reading schematics and blueprints, and utilizing various hand and power tools. The Solar Worker will contribute to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems while adhering to safety standards and electrical codes such as NEC. Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar panel systems on commercial sites, including roof-mounted and ground-mounted arrays Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation Work with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized fixtures for installation tasks Perform roofing work related to solar panel mounting when necessary Assist with plumbing tasks related to system components as needed Operate forklifts or other construction equipment safely on-site Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during construction activities Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical construction, preferably with solar or renewable energy projects Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems and schematics Familiarity with NEC standards and blueprint reading skills Experience working on roofing projects and fixture installation is highly desirable Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely Construction site experience with a focus on electrical or roofing work preferred Strong understanding of electrical experience related to solar energy systems Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary Relevant certifications or licenses related to electrical work or construction are a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
