Job Description

THE ROLE


The Crew Lead will be an essential member of Alternative Energy Southeast's field operations team in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The ideal candidate will lead and work alongside installation crews, utilizing their strong electrical construction skills to ensure safe and high-quality solar and energy storage installations and efficient project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Lead and coordinate on-site teams for solar PV and energy storage installations, ensuring all work is performed to AES standards. Perform and oversee electrical tasks, including wiring, system testing, and troubleshooting, while ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations. Conduct quality assurance checks of all site work performed. Manage materials, tools, and scheduling in collaboration with the warehouse team to keep projects on track. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and installation challenges, coordinating with management to address complex issues. Provide mentorship and training to crew members, fostering a collaborative and safe work environment. Represent AES in a professional manner, interacting with clients to provide updates and address concerns as needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in solar or electrical installations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong electrical skills in the residential and commercial sectors. Deep understanding of solar PV and energy storage systems. Comfortable working on roofs and performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions. Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, and the ability to work in challenging environments. Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented attitude. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; must pass pre-employment screening. Basic computer and technology skills. Proven leadership skills. NABCEP certification or similar credentials (preferred but not required). Ability to manage multiple tasks, plan ahead, coordinate effectively, and ensure top-notch quality standards.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION



Health, dental, vision, and life insurance (AES pays 80%, employee 20%). 40-60 hours paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, training, and tuition assistance. Competitive pay ranging from $33-$36/hr based on experience, with a 90-day probationary period for performance evaluation.

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
