The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the software sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving the sales of software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software sales, team leadership, and a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the software sales team:
Recruit, train, mentor, and monitor the performance of the sales team to ensure they meet sales objectives.
Develop sales strategies:
Create and implement effective sales strategies to target new customers and expand market share.
Achieve sales targets:
Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds individual and team sales goals.
Client relationship management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing software solutions that meet their business requirements.
Pipeline management:
Oversee the sales pipeline, monitor leads, and ensure timely follow-ups and deal closures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Work closely with the product development, marketing, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with product offerings.
Sales reporting:
Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to upper management.
Market research:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and the evolving needs of the target market.
Negotiate contracts:
Lead contract negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the customer.
Customer satisfaction:
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain a strong after-sales relationship.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven track record in software sales, with 5+ years of experience in a sales management role.
Experience in B2B sales, particularly in the software or technology industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
