job summary:
Responsibilities:

  • Manage, configure, and maintain the Rockwell software suite, including FactoryTalk, Historian, and/or other relevant software components.
  • Build and clone virtual servers to deliver services to the plant(s).
  • Develop, customize, and troubleshoot applications within the Rockwell software ecosystem to meet the specific needs of the RNG Renewable plant(s).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Rockwell software with other plant systems, such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), variable frequency driver (VFD), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and programable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Rockwell software applications, ensuring maximum uptime and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of Rockwell software by implementing necessary access controls, patches, and updates.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in the Rockwell software environment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and enhance the underlying IT infrastructure supporting the Rockwell software.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Work closely with plant operators and engineers to understand their software requirements and provide technical support and training when needed.
  • Implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure the availability and recoverability of plant software in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Conduct periodic tests and drills to validate the effectiveness of backup and recovery procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in Rockwell software and related technologies, and apply that knowledge to enhance the plant\'s software capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or field experience. Relevant certifications in Rockwell software and industrial automation will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience working with Rockwell software, including FactoryTalk, Historian, and/or other related software components.
  • understanding of industrial automation systems, processes, and controls, with experience in the Renewable Natural Gas industry being highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Technology Software Engineer to support our client\'s growing Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) platform. This individual should have expertise in Rockwell software, including FactoryTalk, Historian, and/or other software components that form an integral part of our Renewable Natural Gas plant(s). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting the Rockwell software suite, as well as overseeing the IT infrastructure that supports it. Additionally, they will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless backup and recovery of plant software for operational continuity.
