Job Description


Seeking a mid level Software Engineer to join the Home Delivery Web Application Engineering team. This team\'s focus is delivering high-quality web applications adhering to enterprise development best practices. This is a highly collaborative team that owns and supports some of the most critical features in Member website. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership and passion for excellence are core expectations.

Technologies include : Java, Springboot, ReactJS, JavaScript, ES6, HTML, CSS, NPM, Node js
Process/Practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), JIRA, Confluence, PCF, Jenkins, and XL Release.

General Summary:

Quality Testing Engineer who has experience in testing and signing off client facing web applications using the technologies listed above. This role requires someone who has expert knowledge in performing both manual and automation testing . They are expected to work closely with developers, technical project managers, principle engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that application meet business/customer requirements.

Level Expectations:

  • Expertise in performing both manual and automation testing.
  • Function well in large-scale, highly complex, cross-functional / platform environment
  • Solid individual performance, but may spend considerable portion of their time providing direction for others, share knowledge, coaches and mentors
  • May serve as technical lead in area of expertise
  • May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of others
  • Good communication and relationship skills, both in directing the technical team and updating ESI leadership
Essential Functions:
  • Improve application quality and reliability by implementing good standards and processes
  • Increase productivity by implementing tools and processes
  • Ensure quality is maintained by following development patterns and standards
  • Interact with architects, technical project managers, developers to ensure that application solution meets customer needs
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of work experience in testing
  • Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
  • Strong expertise in related technical stack.
  • Exposure with Agile development methodologies is highly desired
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders or team members to resolve issues
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
