Overview

An International IT Company is seeking a highly motivated

Software Engineer - Production System Support

with a strong background in web application development and support, as well as advanced skills in

PostgreSQL

Queries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and end users.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for web-based applications

that are used in the production line, ensuring high availability and reliability. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, database, and integration issues in a timely manner. Monitor application and database performance, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks.

Write and optimize complex PostgreSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.*
Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.*

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in

web application development and/or application support

. Strong proficiency in

PostgreSQL

, including performance tuning, query optimization, and database management. Solid understanding of application architecture, APIs, and integration methods. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, or similar) for automation and support tasks.
