DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us build Privacy Software Infrastructure. The Privacy Software Infrastructure team\'s mission is to make privacy data handling safe, compliant, fast and effortless. We will achieve this by providing tools and platforms for secure and compliant data handling. In this role, you will work with engineers and privacy professionals from Google and Verily to design and implement privacy tools and systems. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and test the privacy tools and systems.
• Work with Verily\xe2\x80\x99s Privacy Office team, Security team and Verily\xe2\x80\x99s product teams to gather and finalize product requirements.
• Establish Privacy Software Infrastructure expectations (SLA/SLO/SLI) and associated monitoring, alerting, and tooling to operate the privacy system at scale with best production engineering practices.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies and solutions.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency) are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in Go or Java or Python and with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience with database technologies, such as MySQL, Postgres, BigQuery or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, Jira and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master\'s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in building software for data privacy or security (e.g., audit logging, binary integrity, data retention).
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams on a several simultaneous projects.
• Experience with frontend development in HTML, Javascript, React or Angular.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
