About the team and role:

Luna seeks a talented Software Engineer II, Front End, you will be part of the Engineering Org. You will be a member of a highly-motivated team, cross-functional team that will work to improve and expand our browser SDKs and contribute to new initiatives. This includes the technical design, development, and distribution of our browser SDK software. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in web architecture, experienced in core web technologies, and has an interest in user interface design and user experience. You will learn and own components of the architecture and review the work of other team members.What you\'ll do: Develop highly innovative consumer-facing browser SDKs and web applications
  • Contribute to, develop and maintain code in a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Build and maintain accessible, performant, reusable, and reliable JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Review designs and participate in meaningful collaboration sessions on how to solve customer problems
  • Engineer new user interfaces as needed in support of our growing business
  • Work with Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Product Owners to scope and prioritize work within an agile development methodology
  • Translate requirements into technical designs and well-engineered code backed by automated tests
  • Take ownership of projects and be accountable for them from inception through to their results in production
  • Leverage your knowledge of web-based tools and infrastructure to improve our core technology
  • Prototype new features and applications

What you\'ll need:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience building web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries, in particular, React
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with automation testing, build, and continuous integration
  • Comfortable with converting visual designs into live applications
  • Excel at finding innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Understanding that uniqueness creates innovation and greatness
  • Passionate about team success and achieve it through care and respect

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency with getUserMedia camera access preferred
  • Experience tuning bundling tools such as Webpack, Vite, and Parcel
  • Knowledge of OpenGL/WebGL
  • Exposure to WebAssembly in a production environment
  • Experience deploying JAM Stack applications within AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
  • Comfortability with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2)
  • Familiarity with internationalization and its challenges
  • Experience developing an embedded front-end SDK (iframe)

Compensation: It is anticipated this position will have a salary range of $85,400 - $128,200 depending on the candidate\'s qualifications for the role. The successful candidate may also be eligible to enroll in several benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and others provided the work schedule meets the minimum Company requirements.
