Software Engineer with DevOps
? Join a small, elite team modernizing critical cloud architectures and deploying mission-focused applications for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Your blend of development skill and DevOps expertise will directly support key national security operations from Sarasota, FL.
Your Key Responsibilities
? Design, develop, and deploy scalable, containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
? Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to ensure reliable software delivery.
? Develop and manage ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and configure message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).
? Write Python scripts and utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate infrastructure management and deployment tasks.
? Monitor system performance using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to improve reliability, efficiency, and implement alerts.
? Collaborate with developers to define and enforce best practices for deployment, security, and infrastructure.
? Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure systems meet stringent security and compliance requirements.
What You Bring to the Role
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
? 2-10 years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining production software systems in a DevOps environment.
? Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
? Proficiency with Linux/Unix, Python (preferred), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline creation.
? Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Agile workflows, and security scanning tools (SonarQube, Trivy).
? Preferred: Skills in developing RESTful microservices, database optimization, and using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
? Preferred: CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) and strong collaborative problem-solving skills.
