The Security Technology Group develops products that protect our customers from online threats, including phishing, ransomware, viruses, and all of the types of malware, to shield from identity and financial theft.

You will be developing using Golang/Python involving complex algorithms in an ultra-high traffic environment. You will be involved in creating tools and services. You will work closely with Cloud Engineers, Product Engineers, Data science and Dev-OPS to manage projects, provide creative solutions, and develop successful implementations. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
As a Software Engineer , you will be responsible for:

• Developing using Golang, Python for our Security Product tools
• Creating schemas, data models, migrations, and manage NoSQL databases (Cassandra and Redis)
• Architecting modular services using Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD
• Writing data API's and multi-server applications to meet product needs

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 1+ years Software Development experience
• Have experience in writing the HTTP Restful Web Services/Proxies and API's
• Have a good understanding of Linux performance tuning, internals and security
• Have experience in NoSQL databases like Cassandra and Redis and data modeling
• Have experience with Public Cloud Services & K8s

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $68,900 - $143,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
