IT Consultant
1 year+ contract to potential hire in Houston TX
Your Day-to-Day:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the .NET framework.
• Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative and deployment tasks.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Work with Microsoft web servers (IIS) and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Document software systems and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software development using .NET (C# preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Microsoft web server (IIS) configuration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
• Prior experience working in an energy trading environment or with trading systems.
• Experience with Java or python would be a plus

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65 an hour.
