Conduct thorough patient assessments including diagnostic evaluations, intake interviews, and mental health screenings using medical terminology and HIPAA-compliant documentation standards.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral emergencies.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor personalized care plans that include addiction counseling, PTSD care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and working with people with disabilities.
Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical documentation practices.
Engage in community outreach and home visits to deliver home & community care services for children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health, behavioral health, or social work interventions while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of records.
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent where applicable.
Proven experience in clinical counseling, case management, or behavioral health settings--preferably with children or pediatric populations.
Familiarity with EMR systems, ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding for diagnostic evaluation and CPT coding for billing purposes.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical records management.
Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform intake assessments and deliver culturally sensitive Christian counseling if applicable.
