Responsibilities

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, provides psychotherapy, coordinates patient discharge planning, complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities, and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing.

Qualifications

An MSW degree is also required from an accredited social Work program. Candidates must have an advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy. Must have knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis\xe2\x80\x99 and chronic disease. Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patient\xe2\x80\x99s family members, multi-disciplinary team, community agencies, and other resources. Must also have psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and in written form.

License: Licensure to practice at the graduate or independently at the clinical level as required by applicable state requirements. (LGSW or LICSW)

Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license required for specific areas.

$59,280 - $100,235 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
