BRIEF DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY:

Yorkville High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Social Science teacher who has experience in the classroom to cover an FMLA leave from November 7, 2025 through December 19, 2025 at $210.00 a day.



We are seeking to hire a teacher who maintains a positive learning environment centered on high academic expectations, creating a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our school in becoming an exemplar as it relates to seeking and implementing strategies for improving student achievement and growth for all students. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities in the Social Science Division to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning. Potential courses include World/US History, World Cultures/Human Geography, Government, or Psychology/Sociology. Experience at the Regular, Honors, or Advanced Placement levels.


+ Possesses strong content knowledge/experience in Social Science instruction.
+ Candidates possessing the credentials to teach/deliver dual credit is highly desired but not required
+ Prior experience teaching in a blended delivery model is highly desired but not required

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

Current Illinois Professional Educators License with Appropriate Social Studies Endorsement for 9-12 preferred.
